beloved friends from Krautfass did an awesome gig.
Playing the electronics between pulsating wastebags (constant in/decreasing airflow) and wasted people :-) was a pleasure.

Midi Step Sequencer

I've built this plain midi sequencer to control my Nord Modular from Ableton's Live for quick sequences and wierd parameter locks (inspired by the Machinedrum's p-locks).

- 16 steps with variable lenght
- 5 direction modes (ffw, bckw, ffw-bckw, random, semi random)
- pitch, volume, 3 midi cc's per step (cc can be changed)
- macro knobs for cc's and pitch (to shift the entire sequence)
- host independend shuffle

I recently visited good friends as they would play a vernissage gig at the Neuwerk in Konstanz. They're called Krautfass 3000 and are a realtime improvisation jam band. yep, destroying and creating musical structures in a collective way.....nice. Anyway, i was invited to play spontanously on the Korg MS 2000 which was real fun.....

3 OSC SEQ SYNTH

It's a 3 oscillator ( 5 waveforms) subtractive synth with filter- (LP BP HP) stepsequencer and a very pristine reverb unit. The sequencer is linked to the host tempo and it's impact on the filter is adjustable. I like bleepy spaced out sequences. If you do, feel free to tinker with ;-)

my first steps in videoclip triggering on the Machinedrum.
Ch. 1-8 sounds and Ch. 9-16 videoclips via Arkaos. It's far away from beeing real good and was made in 2 hours as i had fun to try it.... Just un/muting the sounds and the vids. no song mode.

Video sources are ancient Tom&Jerry cartoons.

BLEEPMACHINE

simply put, a one osc synth with own sequencer for amp and pitch plus a LFO driven filter.

The clue for me is that you're capable of drifting sequences due to the two independend sequencers and the global clock which is also independend from the DAW's clock. Also the unlabeled pitch fader limits you to just "hear" your sequences instead of lurking to the tones and semitones. Sleeparchive galore my friends !
